Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Aaron O’Brien to serve on the Twentieth Judicial Circuit’s Judicial Nominating Commission.
Mr. O’Brien was previously selected and appointed by Senator Rick Scott, during his tenure as Governor of Florida to serve on the Commission.This important commission is tasked with providing the governor with a list of potential judges, from which the governor selects the newest judge from. The commission interviews, vets, and creates a short list of local attorneys who hope to become judge when there is a judicial vacancy in the area.
Aaron O’Brien helped the Governors of Florida choose numerous Southwest Florida judges for over a decade, all of whom are still on the bench today.
Aaron O’Brien has appeared on Closing Arguments with Nancy Grace (mercifully there was a guest host that day), Both Sides with Vinnie Politan, Catherine Crier Live, Trial Heat, Open Court, Daybreak, the News-Press, Bonita Banner, Naples Daily News, Cape Coral Breeze, and more.
